The artworks arrived in the country through Imam Khomeini International Airport on December 17, were transferred to the National Museum of Iran under safe and security measures, and were placed in quarantine, Iran’s Minister of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism said.

" The exhibition will display the history of mining in the world from the Stone Age to recent centuries through the works of 20 countries from five continents", Ali-Asghar Mounesanadded.

This exhibition is the seventh international event which will be opened at the Iranian museum at the beginning of 2021.

Cultural interactions between museums lead to long-lasting friendships among nations and make cultural exchanges richer.

According to the plan, a reciprocal exhibition of Iran is to be held at the German museum which includes works from the archeological findings of the Chehrabad salt mines in the northwestern Iranian province of Zanjan.

The German exhibition in Iran is scheduled to open for culture and history enthusiasts in early January under health protocols and will continue up to early October 2021.
