An exhibition featuring the digital paintings by Alireza Zakeri will receive art lovers as of December 21 at the Abolfazl Aali Gallery of the Art Bureau.

The exhibition titled, ‘Banquet of Line, Color, Pattern,’ will display 42 artworks by Zakeri which have been previously published in different media, according to IRNA.

Born in 1958 in the northern province of Gorgan, Zakeri is a painter, designer and cartoonist. He started his artistic activity in 1983 with painting and calligraphy, and from 1987, for a decade, he studied drawing and painting academically with Hadi Taqizadeh.

The first exhibition of Zakeri’s works in 1987 in Iran’s northeastern city of Mashhad was an exhibition of social documentary photography.

He participated in various cartoon festivals and has won awards in the fields of cartoon and graphics from Japan, China, Macedonia, the UK and Iran.

In 2011, Zakeri received a Second Degree Arts Certificate in Art from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. The collection of cartoons, ‘Hair in the Wind,’ with the theme of the Sacred Defense is one of the most important works of Zakeri.
