Cinema

-Iranian actress Leila Hatami was selected to evaluate the films at the International Section of the 79th Venice International Film Festival, which is also known as Venezia 79.

-Iranian director Mohammad-Mehdi Asgarpur is on the official jury of the 19th Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival in Armenia.

-The Iran-Afghanistan co-production “Drowning in Holy Water” has received nominations in three categories including best film at the 5th Malaysia Golden Global Awards, which are presented at the closing ceremony of the Malaysia International Film Festival.

- MPM Premium, a Paris-based company that handles the global sales for “Until Tomorrow”, has withdrawn the Iranian film from an Israeli festival following a request by the film’s producer.

-The Iranian feature film “Drowning in Holy Water” directed by Navid Mahmoudi is nominated in four sections of the 5th Malaysia Golden Global Awards.

-Roman Theater of Fiesole in the Italian city of Florence be granting its 2022 Fiesole Maestri del Cinema Award to the Oscar-winning Iranian director Asghar Farhadi.

-Iranian drama “Summer with Hope” won the Grand Prix – Crystal Globe of the 56th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in Czech, the organizers announced on Saturday.

Fashion

-The 11th edition of Fajr Fashion & Clothing Festival was opened at Milad Tower on Saturday. Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, representatives of the Islamic Council, members of the cultural, social, and industrial factions, the clothing industry, and the country's clothing fashion stylists, and people from all walks of life were present at the event.

-The Deputy Minister of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts of the country, in a meeting with one of the MPs, demanded the formation of the Handicrafts faction in the Parliament.

-The closing ceremony of the 11th Fajr International Fashion and Clothing Festival was held in Milad Tower International Conference Center on Friday. Different fashions and traditional clothing styles of Iranian ethnic groups were put on display during the event.
