According to the National Headquarters for Managing and Fighting the Coronavirus, meetings and gatherings of over 15 people are discouraged in order to curb the number of coronavirus cases.

The Rudaki Foundation announced that the rehearsals of Iran’s National Orchestra could not be held as usual, and the concert will not be held as scheduled.

Following the performance of the orchestra on July 9, the orchestra’s members, conducted by Nassir Heidarian, began their rehearsals for the August program. However, coronavirus restrictions prevent the program to run.

The concert was planned to stage a number of pieces made by two great Iranian masters of music, Heshmat Sanjari and Hooshang Ostovar.

The coronavirus surge caused many changes in cultural programs including the annual plan of the center which was announced in March 2021, the Rudaki Foundation reported.
