The SAMFA is being held at the University of Sulaimani in Kurdistan Region, Hayat Al-Nofoos Persian language Center in Najaf as well as two cultural centers of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Basra and Baghdad on December 23.

The Iraqi people have unprecedentedly welcomed the test, which kicked off at 8:30 local time Iraq.

SAMFA is the most important examination on Persian language proficiency without focusing on the place and context of language learning.

The exam is as credible as English tests such as TOEFL and IELTS.

The cultural department of the Iranian embassy organizes the SAMFA in cooperation with the National Organization of Educational Testing as well as the Ministry of Science Research and Technology of Iran.

Non-Persian speakers who succeed in the SAMFA are entitled to continue their higher education at Iranian universities or find job opportunities, which need Persian language skills.
