Mostafa Pourali, General Director of the Office for Inscription of Properties and Revitalization of ICH and Natural Heritage of Iran’s Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, told IRNA that Iran was seventh on the list before the boost.

After registering its 21st item on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list, Iran was ranked sixth, Pourali underlined.

Earlier, Iran was seventh in world and fourth in Asia regarding its registered intangible items, the official noted.

By their 43 and 26 items registered on the UNESCO list, China and France are respectively ranked first and second.
