According to a press release published by the NLAI on Thursday, in the meeting with Leitner, Borujerdi said that the library has provided the ground for the world scholars to meet and exchange their views at the center.

She also added that the NLAI is willing to boost cultural relations with Switzerland.

On his part, Leitner also said that Swiss scholars are frequent visitors to the Tehran International Book Fair and added that his country is keen to expand relations with the cultural event.

In his meeting with Borujerdi, Austrian Ambassador Scholz also said that Iran and Austria has long had cultural and political relations.

He noted that a collection of about 200 Persian manuscripts are being preserved in the Austrian National Library, which can be a good reason for the beginning of a relation between the two libraries.
