Dhaka festival to host 13 Iranian films, 2 juries

Iranian filmmakers Pouran Derakhshandeh and Elaheh Tahaei will evaluate the films in Asian Films Competition Section and Interfaith Jury for the Spiritual Films Section, respectively.

In the Asian Films Competition Section, ‘No Prior Appointment,’ directed by Behrouz Shoaybi; ‘Last Snow,’ by Amirhossein Asgari, ‘Without Mother,’ by Seyyed Morteza Fatemi are among the six competing Iranian films.

Seven Iranian films including ‘The Opposition,’ directed by Amir-Abbas Rabiei, and ‘The Sniper’ by Ali Ghaffari will compete in the International Competition Section.

The ‘21st Dhaka International Film Festival’ (DIFF) will be held in Dhaka from January 14 to 22, 2023. The general theme of the festival is ‘Better Film, Better Audience and Better Society’.
