As the publicist says, 'The Ring' short film, originally known as 'Angoshtar' produced and directed by Roham Rasouli, continued its international presence; entered the competitive and market section of the 20th Mindanao Film Festival in the Philippines.

Mindanao Film Festival is an organization founded in 2003 that aimed to support the filmmakers of Mindanao & all-around world by promoting and showcasing the wonderful and fascinating stories their films have to tell and introducing their films to new and grander audiences. This Festival is the longest-running regional and independent film festival in the Philippines.

The Festival runs by the Mindanao Film & Television Development Foundation Inc., and this year is made possible with the support of the Film Development Council of the Philippines, National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and the Davao Autism Intervention Center. In both domestic and foreign competitive sections, the 20th Philippine Mindanao Festival will be held in Tagum City from December 4 to 11, 2022.

The Ring, which concerns the disadvantages of war on survivors, has won the Merit Award at the 20th Accolade Global Film Competition and was mentioned as the Best Human Rights Film at the 9th Pink City Short Film Festival.

Roham Rasouli is an Iranian Youth Cinema Society graduate working as a production manager for some award-winning Iranian short films. As written in the logline, an older man's life is affected by a ring.
