• A bronze bust of Commander Qassem Soleimani set up in the courtyard of Tehran’s Vahdat Hall was unveiled on Sunday, July 6. Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Abbas Salehi and a large number of officials attended the unveiling ceremony of the bust created by Sabr-Ali Lavai. Qader Ashena, the director of Iran’s Dramatic Arts Center, Deputy Culture Minister for Artistic Affairs Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini, and Roudaki Foundation Managing Director Mahdi Afzali were among the participating guests.

  • A group of Iranian artists had a face-to-face meeting with Industry, Mine and Trade Minister Reza Rahmani. During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues related to music, theater and visual art. At the end of the meeting, an agreement was made to establish the new Joint Committee on Art and Industry. The talent included Esmaeil Azar, Shahrdad Rouhani, Mahdi Afzali, Ali Shirazi, Hamidreza Nourbakhsh, Habibollah Sadeghi, Seifollah Pouya Rad, Mohammad Motamedi, Asghar Hemmat, Hamidreza Azarang, Esmaeil Khalaj, Shahram Gilabadi, and Amir Rad. The artists urged the minster to do more to support the Iranian art. Minister Rahmani also said industry and trade need art and culture to create culture.
