The ceremony was organized by the institute and in collaboration with the Romanian Embassy in Iran, ecieco.org reported.

The event was attended by Romanian Ambassador in Tehran Mirela-Carmen Grecu, Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Secretary General Khosrow Nazeri, ECOCI President Sarvar Bakhti, and ambassadors of Kyrgyzstan, Slovenia, Spain, Austria, Japan, South Africa, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Ghana, Oman, South Korea, Poland, Hungary, and Kuwait as well as envoys of the UN offices in Tehran.

Introduced in 2010, Romania’s National Culture Day is celebrated on January 15. This is the birth date of Romanian poet and novelist Mihai Eminescu, a canonical figure of Romanian literature and a representative of the local romanticism.
