Iranian literati and scholars, including Zia Movahhed, Abolqasem Esmaeilpur, Mehdi Mohabati and Ali-Asqar Mohammadkhani along with ten Chinese experts will deliver speeches during the colloquium.

The Book City Institute and the Sadi Foundation in Tehran as well as China’s Northwest University are the organizers of the seminar.

Sadi and Confucius were also discussed during a seminar, which was held in Tehran last year on April 17 and 18.

Confucius was China’s most famous teacher, philosopher and political theorist whose ideas have influenced the civilization of East Asia. 

One of the greatest figures of classical Persian literature, Sheikh Muslih od-Din Sadi Shirazi is famous worldwide for his Bustan (The Orchard) and Gulistan (The Rose Garden).
