The organizers also celebrated the 80th birthday of Loris Haykasi Tjeknavorian during which the Iranian Armenian composer and conductor was honored. He is one of the most celebrated cultural figures in Iran and Armenia.
A week-long series celebrating the life and works of Loris Tjeknavorian is underway in Tehran. Vahdat Hall began the program by hosting the Tehran Contemporary Ensemble performing the rare music pieces of this Armenian composer and conductor, one of the most celebrated cultural figures in Armenia and Iran.
