-Movies from Iran will be competing in different sections of the 79th Venice International Film Festival as the organizers announced the event’s lineup on Tuesday.

-Ali Nasirian, a veteran Iranian actor talks to interested people about his experiences in Iranian cinema in the form of several educational webinars.

-The 75th Edinburgh Film Festival will host the works of four Iranian filmmakers.

-The "Iran Vision 1401" exhibition for the display of specialized brand products in the field of fashion and clothing started at the permanent location of the Tehran International Exhibition.

-The "Culture of Iran Land" exhibition was held in Kish Island with the aim of introducing tourism opportunities and strengthening cultural relations between the countries of the region.

-Handicraft products, including hand-embroidered leather works, ethnic clothing, and other works of this sector, were offered this week in the form of Thursday Handicraft Bazaar, hosted by Abbas Abad Art Garden.

Visual Arts

-The New Gallery in Hudson, New York, is showcasing works by a mysterious Iranian street muralist who goes by the pseudonym Mirza Hamid. The exhibition will be running through September 5.

-Iranian photographer Mohammad Esteki has won the FIAP Gold Medal at the 3 x STATION International Salon of Photography in Poland.

-Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaili, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, along with Mohammad Hossein Niromand, Advisor to the Minister, and Abdul Reza Sohrabi, Director General of the Center for Visual Arts, visited the late professor Habibullah Sadeghi's home on Wednesday evening and expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased.

-Ahmad Moeini Jam, a photojournalist working for the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), won the award of the 5th International Sports Photo Festival of Iran.

-The introduction event of "Artanium" Market place NFT of Iranian art held  in the house of Iranian artists.

-The ceremony of showing the best works of the third edition of the "Photo 5" international award festival was held in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan.

-Last week, Tehran galleries hosted 18 new exhibitions in various fields of visual arts.

-A stage reading of “Musas” (“Muses”), Venezuelan writer Néstor Caballero’s play on a fictional encounter between Frida Kahlo and Sylvia Plath,  held at the Guye Art House in Tehran Wednesday evening.

-The awarding ceremony of the first course of the theater and music ritual of Ali Moalem (Hafez statue) was held in the Iranian conference hall.

-The annual festival of puppeteers was held with the honor of Marzieh Broumand in the hall of Ostad Shahnaz, Iran's artists' house.

-The first international mourning was held with the participation of 7 in Tehran Theater Campus.

-The closing ceremony of the11th Shahrvand Lahijan Street Theater Festival was held on Sunday night in Lahijan city. Kazem Nazari, director of the performing arts center, artists and officials of Lahijan city were present in this ceremony.




-Valery Gergiev, director of Mariinsky Orchestra in St. Petersburg, appointed Iran’s prominent maestro Ali Rahbari as the permanent guest conductor of the Russian orchestra.

-The concert of the Azerbaijani Alnam Orchestra was held on Monday evening, July 25, led by Vahid Alipour and sung by Vadoud Moazzen Massoud Amir Safar Soum at Vahdat Hall.

-Majid Entezami was introduced as a member of the artistic council of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra by the decree of the managing director of Rudaki Foundation.

-The concert of the Aiso Symphony Orchestra with the Kaste Quartet under the leadership of Maziar Yonesi performed works by Schubert, Mozart, Elgar, Scherker and 2 works by the Kaste Quartet performed at Vahdat Hall.

Culture and Literature

-American writer Ann Patchett’s novel “The Dutch House” has been published in Persian. Nima Farahi is the translator of the book published by Saless.

-Iran and Iraq announced on Sunday a plan to cooperate on a film project on ISIS.

-The press conference commemorating Hakim Sheikh Shahabuddin Suhrawardi was held on the twenty fifth of July in Vahdat Hall.

-The unveiling ceremony of the 40th list of Lākposht was held online on the Instagram page of Shahrektab Central.

-The book "Ten Speeches about Ferdowsi's Shahnameh" translated by Fahima Shakiba and Alireza Mahdinejhad has been published.

-The first meeting of the construction industry with the focus on branding and modern architecture was held on the 31est of July at Abu-Reyhan Hall of Shahid Beheshti University.

- The online session "Shiraz and Evaz Cities Experience" was held.

- The book "Criticism of Phenomenology in Architecture" compiled by Mohsen Ghasemi Moghadam was published.
