Tehran Symphony Orchestra will stage a concert at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall from January 27 to 28.Nassir Heidarian will conduct the performance.

After a two year-hiatus, the concert will feature Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 and a violin concerto by Parviz Mahmoud.

Pedram Faryousefi will accompany the musicians in a solo violin performance.

The Tehran Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1933, is Iran's oldest and largest symphony orchestra. It was founded as the Municipality Symphony Orchestra by Gholamhossein Minbashian, before entering its modern form under Parviz Mahmoud in 1946.
