Emphasizing the necessity of enhancing the established academic ties between the University of Tehran and Italian universities, both sides expressed their will to expand mutual collaboration within the framework of various programs.

The main topics which the two sides discussed were: The promotion of exchange and mobility programs for students and faculty members, joint research projects, sabbatical leaves, holding joint cultural and artistic exhibitions, the exchange of academic materials, organizing meetings between the presidents of Iranian and Italian universities, supporting the establishment of doctoral programs in the Italian language by dispatching qualified native instructors, holding thematic joint workshops on cinema, architecture, archeology, holding joint book exhibitions, the establishment of an association to boost cultural relations, the presentation of lectures by the Italian ambassador at UT, the exchange of experiences on relations between the university and industry, using the facilities of UT partner universities in Italy, and vice versa, to reduce costs, and collaboration within EU programs.
