Posters of performances by great playwrights Hamid Samandarian, Rokneddin Khosravi, Sirus Shamlu, Manijeh Mahamedi, and Sohrab Salimi will soon be released in NFT format for the first time in Iran during an event titled, ‘Artaniom’.

An NFT, non-fungible token, is a digital asset that represents real-world objects like art, music, in-game items and videos. They are bought and sold online, frequently with cryptocurrency, and they are generally encoded with the same underlying software as many cryptos.

According to ILNA, citing the media manager of the project, the posters of important and memorable works such as ‘Strindberg's Game,’ ‘Rhinoceros’ and ‘The Unburied Dead,’ all directed by Samandarian, are among the NFT work to be.

In addition, the posters of ‘Othello,’ by Mohammad Kosar, ‘Mr. Gil's Magnificent Smile,’ by Khosravi, ‘The Exception and the Rule,’ by Shamlou, ‘Savushun’ by Mahamedi and ‘Kabodan and Esfandiar’ by Salimi will also be presented during the event.

All the works were designed by Iran’s graphic designer and photographer Ebrahim Haqiqi.

The first event of Artaniom, the only Iranian NFT market place based on Ethereum, will soon be held at Iranian Artists’ House.

The exact time and details of Artaniom have yet to be announced.
