The 13th Tehran Auction with works of modern and contemporary Iranian art was held online on January 15, 2021, after several delays due to restrictions due to the Corona epidemic. However, in order for buyers to have the opportunity to see these works up close and be able to make a better decision to buy them, the exhibition of the works of this auction was held for three days in accordance with the health protocols at Parsian Azadi Hotel. In this auction, 110 works of artists in different age categories were presented, so that the oldest artist of this auction, Mohammad Habib Mohammadi, born in 1283, and the youngest of them, Adel Younesi, born in 1985.

110 works by 97 artists were presented in this auction, including Aydin Aghdashloo, Parvaneh Etemadi, Nasrollah Afjeh, Jazeh Tabatabai, Mohammad Ali Targhi Jah, Parviz Tanavoli, Farideh Lashaei, Reza Derakhshani, Mehdi Sahabi, Abolghasem Saeedi, Behjat Sadr, Masoud Arabshandi, and There were two works that participated in this auction.

22 works became billionaires

In the 13th auction in Tehran, 22 works were sold for more than one billion tomans. The most expensive work of this period was the auction of the double-sided painting "Memories of Hope" by Aydin Aghdashloo, which was offered at a base price of 1.2 billion tomans and sold for 12 billion and 500 million tomans.

In second place was a sculpture by Parviz Tanavoli entitled "Master and Student" which sold for six billion and 700 million tomans.

The third place was allocated to Hossein Zandarroudi's painting entitled "Digi I-Digi Aa-Di Iyo" which was sold for six billion and 300 million Tomans.

In fourth place was Mohammad Ehsaei calligraphy from the collection "Whisper of Love" with 5 billion and 900 million Tomans.

These four works broke the previous records of the auction, which was dedicated to the work of Sohrab Sepehri with a price of 5 billion.

The fifth rank of the thirteenth auction was allocated to the mirror work of Munir Shahroudi Farman Farmayian with a price of 3 billion and 600 million Tomans.

Farideh Lashaei's "Map of Iran" painting was hammered for 2 billion and 800 million Tomans. Reza Derakhshani's work entitled "Morning Riders" was sold for 2 billion and 600 million tomans. The metal statue of Jazeh Tabatabai with the title "Where is it? I am looking around to find it" sold for 2 billion and 100 million Tomans. A work by Parviz Kalantari was hammered for 1 billion and 800 million Tomans.

A work by Massoud Arabshahi and a painting by Sohrab Sepehri sold for 1 billion and 700 million tomans. Reza Derakhshani's double-sided painting and a painting by Mohsen Vaziri Moghaddam sold for 1 billion and 600 million Tomans. The painting "Migratory Horse" by Khakdan Unit was hammered for 1 billion and 500 million Tomans. A work by Shahriyar Ahmadi entitled "Kerman to Khorasan from the collection of memoirs of the first century AH" and a work by Marco Gregorian entitled "Two acres of land, positive-negative" were hammered 1 billion and 400 million Tomans.

A painting by Abolghasem Saeedi and a painting by Sadegh Tabrizi sold for 1 billion and 300 million tomans.

A work by Nasrullah Afjeh was sold for 1 billion and 250 million Tomans, and the volume work of Timo Naseri entitled "Pion" was hammered for 1 billion and 200 million Tomans. An untitled painting by Manouchehr Yektai and a work by Farideh Lashaei were also sold for one billion tomans.

Nasser Oveysi's "Florists" painting was sold for 850 million Tomans. A work by Behjat Sadr and a work by Nasrullah Afjeh were sold for 800 million Tomans. A work by Nasser Assar and a painting by Parvaneh Etemadi were hammered for 750 million Tomans.

A photo of Abbas Kiarostami from the "Snow White" collection, a painting by Alireza Espahbod entitled "Thirst", a painting by Hossein Kazemi, a painting by Behjat Sadr and a work by Massoud Arabshahi were also sold for 700 million Tomans. A painting by Sirak Malekonian and a work by Mohammad Ali Targhi were hammered for 650 million Tomans.

The four untitled paintings from the "Secret Secret" collection of Sedaghat Jabbari and a work by Aydin Aghdashloo entitled "Fallen Calligraphy" were sold for 600 million Tomans.

A work by Hossein Kazemi entitled "Abstract Scene", a work by Parviz Tanavoli and a sculpture by Kambiz Sabri from the collection "As far as I remember" were hammered for 550 million Tomans.

A work by Mehdi Vishkaei and a painting by Mansour Qandriz were sold for 500 million Tomans and a work by Abdolreza Daryabeigi entitled "Water Level" was sold for 440 million Tomans.

A painting by Mansoureh Hosseini, a sculpture by Bahman Dadkhah entitled "Hostage" and a volumetric work by Tavakol Ismaili (Mash Ismail) from the "Goats" collection, and a painting by Qasem Hajizadeh entitled "The Face of Ardeshir Mohasses" sold for 420 million Tomans.

A painting by Reza Mafi, a painting by Golnaz Fathi and the work of Lily Matin Daftari and a painting by Mohammad Ibrahim Jafari were sold for 400 million Tomans.

An untitled painting by Manouchehr Niazi sold for 360 million Tomans, and a sculpture by Bita Fayazi from the "Our Neighborhood" collection was hammered for 340 million Tomans.

A work by Gholam Hossein Nami entitled "Fighting illiteracy from a white and three-dimensional collection", a painting by Mahmoud Zandrouroudi and a bronze statue by Behrouz Daresh were hammered for 320 million Tomans.

A painting by Afshin Pirhashemi sold for 300 million Tomans. A work by Hossein Mahjoubi entitled "Peace and Deep Silence in Pure Nature" and a painting "Surprise" by Jazeh Tabatabai and a work by the authoritative Manouchehr were sold for 280 million Tomans.

A painting by Jalal Shabahangi and a work by Jafar Rouhbakhsh sold for 260 million Tomans and a painting "Inner" from the hunting complex by Mitra Kavian sold for 240 million Tomans. A work by Hannibal Al-Khas and a painting by Abolghasem Saeedi were sold for 220 million Tomans.

A work by Ali Shirazi and a painting by Shahram Karimi entitled "Blue Peace" and a work without the title of Parvaneh Etemadi, a work by Niloufar Ghaderi Nejad entitled "Siavoshan Blood Tree", a painting by Mehdi Sahabi entitled "Immediate Personnel-31" and a sculpture by Mona Pods with the title "Wall and Sprouts" were sold for 200 million Tomans.

The painting "Ashura" by Sadegh Tirafkan and the work of Siamak Azmi from the collection "Dolls" were hammered 190 million Tomans. A work by Reza Bangiz entitled "Allah Akbar", a volume work by Alireza Astaneh from the collection "Performance of Flowers" were sold for 180 million Tomans.

A work by Mohammad Ali Targhi Jah 170 million Tomans and a painting by Karim Nasr 160 million Tomans were hammered. . A painting by Ebrahim Sahib Ekhtiari 50 million Tomans and a work by Ali Khosravi from the collection "Khaniagar Women" were hammered 42 million Tomans.

Also, no work by Mansour Qandriz was sold in this auction.
