  • Contemporary artists, art managers and guests had the chance to see and inspect some of the top-selling artworks of the 10th edition of Tehran Auction. Parsian Azadi Hotel hosted this year’s event.

  • Tehran’s Parsian Azadi Hotel hosted the 10th edition of Tehran Auction on Friday, 11 January. Some 114 art works from 105 artists were sold during the one-day auction event.

  • An untitled art work from Sohrab Sepehri’s Tree Trunk series established in July 2017 fetched 51 billion rials at the Tehran Auction on Friday. Seventy-six lots went under the hammer at the auction that broke the records of previous editions by grossing over 313 billion rials (about $7.5 million).

  • Two artworks by Hossein Zenderoudi sold for 26 billion rials (about $550,000 based on the dollar’s official market exchange rate i.e. 42,000 rials for $1) at the Tehran Auction that was held at the Parsian Azadi Hotel Friday evening. A calligraphic painting by Zenderoudi sold for 23 billion rials, the second most expensive item sold at the auction. Another artwork by the same artist fetched 3 billion rials.
