Works of Nahapetian (1913-2006) include miniature, nature and social life. In his water color works, exhibited in numerous exhibits in and outside the country, he usually depicts sights from the ancient city of Isfahan in detail, the gallery wrote on its Instagram page.

Among his well-known works are his watercolor paintings of the interior of Vank Cathedral located in the New Julfa district of Isfahan, where Nahapetian was born and raised, as well as Shah Mosque (Royal Mosque) on the southern flank of the famous Naghsh-e-Jahan Square.

Born in Isfahan, Manouchehr Sarram (1929-2009), known as Colonel Mark Sarram, is considered by many experts as one of the world’s best watercolor artists. His artworks are known for their strong technique and transparency which compliment his impressionistic style. He held many successful shows in a number of galleries and museums around the world.

His works depict architectural monuments - churches and mosques - and marketplace in Isfahan.

Some of the paintings capture daily scenes and life routines including a beggar waiting on a woman lighting candles, a man washing up for his afternoon prayer, and  two women carrying jugs of water on their shoulders in a severe sand storm.

The exhibition will be open until October 9 at the gallery located at No. 9, 2nd Mahmoudi St., Niavaran neighborhood.
