Iraqi Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Minister Fryad Rwandizi attended the opening ceremony handing out plaques of honor to the participating artists, Iran’s Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) announced on Tuesday.

Speaking at the ceremony, Rwandizi said that organizing such exhibitions can help deepen cultural ties between the two countries.

The Iranian deputy ambassador in Baghdad, Musa Alizadeh, also attending the ceremony, said that the exhibit has been organized to help familiarize Iraqi officials and artists with the rich Persian culture and civilization.

Works by calligrapher Reza Mohammadpur, miniaturist Maryam Amuzi, graphic designer Majid Ariainejad and painter Shokrollah Borumand have been selected for the exhibit.
