Over 50 works by calligraphers from different eras will be put on sale at the auction, founder and CEO of the auction Mahbubeh Kazemi Dulabi told the Persian service of Honaronline on Monday.

Most of the works are in the style of Persian classic calligraphy, she said.

Works in the Kufic calligraphy style and some by famous artists will go under the hammer at the auction. 

The artworks will be showcased in an exhibition, which is scheduled open today.

The first auction was held at Tehran’s Espinas Palace Hotel last October, grossing a sum of 26.09 billion rials (over $720,000).
