According to the festival’s public relations office, the works have been selected from a total of 513 plays sent to the event’s secretariat for participation in the three sections of adult, child, adolescent and family, as well as outdoors, IRNA reported.
Of the 167 works submitted to the secretariat, 17 have been chosen by the selection panel for participation in the adult section.
In addition, 219 plays had been sent for competition in the child, adolescent and family section, of which only 18 have been selected for the contest.
Moreover, the festival’s outdoors section will provide a stage for contest among 13 plays, selected from a total initial number of 127 works.
Iranian actor, director and screenwriter Hadi Hejazifar will be the secretary of the festival.
