The Iranian theater troupe Moj led by writer and director Arash Abbasi is performing an adaptation of Russian writer Leo Tolstoy’s novel “Anna Karenina” at the Nazerzadeh Kermani Hall of the Iranshahr Theater Complex in Tehran.

'The 1878 novel is about Anna, the wife of a senior government official, who creates a high-society scandal by an affair with an officer, Count Vronsky.

Masumeh Rahmani and Behnam Sharafi are the main members of the cast for the play, which will be on stage until July 18.
