The cultural centers of Tehran are ready to stage concerts, said the head of Cultural & Art Organization of the Iranian capital’s municipality, Amirhossein Samiei, amid a downward trend in coronavirus infections in the country.

Iran’s Health Ministry on Saturday reported 3,539 new cases of COVID-19 for the previous 24 hours – 118 of which were fatal.

“As the deputy for art affairs at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance has given the go-ahead for the resumption of concerts, the municipality is prepared to welcome musical bands of different genres for performances at its cultural centers across the city,” Samiei said Saturday, according to IRNA.

Bands could submit their requests to the municipality before a proper hall is allotted for their performance, he added.
