Kalhor, 54, and Erzincan, 47, have held concerts together in Tehran 2012, 2014, and 2016. Their musical cooperation goes back to 2004 when they recorded an album titled ‘The Wind’ that included improvisations based on Iranian and Turkish music, Sazoghalam.ir wrote.

Last November they performed two impromptu concerts - one in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and another in Schiltigheim, France. 

Kalhor, is one of Iran’s acclaimed artists and a Grammy winner. A master of kamancheh, he is popular for his stirring improvisations, exquisite compositions, and extensive collaboration with international artists including Chinese American cellist Yo-Yo Ma, New York based string quartet Brooklyn Rider, American string band Kronos Quartet, Argentinean composer Osvaldo Golijov and other orchestras around the world.
