Old and more recent music instruments, reel-to-reel recording decks and gramophones with their obsolete acoustic horns are what a visitor can expect at the museum.

The ground floor of the museum has two halls, one housing instruments of Iranian ethnicities and the other percussion instruments.

On the upper floor, Iranian traditional instruments are on display. Many of them have been made by masters such as Ebrahim Qanbari-Mehr, and many played by virtuosos in the past.

Website of the venue, Musicmuseum.ir, is offering a mobile application which guides visitors through the museum. Developed for both iOS and Android devices, the application gives information about the instruments. It even lets the user hear how they sound.

The museum is located on Mouze Street, Darbandi Street, Tajrish Square.
