The meeting kicked off at 8:30 p.m. local time at Royal Victoria Hotel of Xiamen. After almost two hours of discussion, where the attendants exchanged views on the views to strengthen bilateral and multilateral media cooperation between the member-states of Shanghai Organization, the meeting closed at 10:20 p.m.
At the meeting, Muhammad Majid Khan, journalist and board member of the Pakistan’s Journalists Association represented Pakistan while Ludmila Sayenkovamelnitskaya, a member of Belarusian Union of Journalists Union, represented Belarus, Yulia Zagitova, Secretary of Russian Union Journalists, represented Russia, Yasser Nazifi Gilavan, a journalist from Mehr News Agency, represented Iran, Nazmi Pinar, a board member of Turkish Journalists Association, represented Turkey, Enkhtuya Dorjzovd, the Vice-President of the Confederation of Mongolian Journalists, represented Mongolia, and Bayan Ramazanova represented Kazakhstan.
