"The film was honored for its poetic outlook and imagination, visual creativity, and its surrealistic atmosphere," Iranian critic Parviz Jahed who was the head of the festival’s jury said in a press release on Saturday.
The jury was composed of Italian visual artist Marina Moreno and Belgium-based Moroccan actress Rachida Chbani.

Was named best film at the festival, which was held in Tangier from April 5 to 8.
The event also paid tribute to Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami by offering a translation of his poems into Arabic and excerpts of some of his films produced together with his colleagues.
