Among all movies four Iranian films to be screened in different category including "The saleman" 125 minutes Iranian-French drama film directed by Asghar Farhadi in the out of competition part.
"Take Me Home" a short film by late Abbas Kiarostami in special screenings section. Abbas Kiarostami took his camera to the South of Italy, giving a wonderful, playful video of alleys and stairs. This short film is Kiarostami’s last work.
Behnam Behzadi’s "Inversion" and "Malaria" by Parviz Shahbazi will be competing in the official section.
FEST 2017 will launch with a screening of Emir Kusturica’s latest film "On the Milky Road".
The first FEST, under the slogan "A Brave New World" was opened on the 9th of January 1971 in Dom Sindikata, with the screening of Robert Altman’s Mash. Envisioned as the annual review of the best films of the season, the Belgrade International Film Festival - FEST – evolved to become one of the most important festivals on the continent and a pillar event of Belgrade's cultural life and an indispensable element in the coming of age of many generations of film fans.
