This is not the first time since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic that movie theaters were closed.

Previously, theaters and cinemas were considered as category three businesses and their activities were closed in the cities categorized as orange regions, but in late March, they were classified in the category two jobs, which are closed in the red regions, according to the National Headquarters for Managing and Fighting the Coronavirus.

In addition, Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art which is currently hosting ‘The Concealed over the Revealed’ (Visual Engineering in Persian Painting) and ‘Persona’ (a collection of works by Andy Warhol), announced it is closed until further notice due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus wave.

The unveiling of Andy Warhol’s book, which was scheduled for July 4, was also postponed.

Tehran’s City Theater complex decided to close its halls from Saturday too.

Iranshahr Theater Hall in the capital also announced postponement of its plays until further notice.
