He is known for starring in ‘Hassan Dynamite’ (1972), ‘The Hostage’ (1996) and ‘Zendegi Shirin’ (2009).

Maleki, a member of the National Iranian Photographer’s Society, was suffering from liver disease in recent years.

Born in 1941, he started his career as a film photographer and then continued with shooting films, although he also appeared in several movies as an actor.

He began shooting films with the movie, ‘Niaz,’ directed by Alireza Davoodnejad after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, and quickly focused on this profession. In addition to movies, he also shot several TV programs, including ‘Searching in the City’ and ‘Trial’.

The Iranian Cinematographers Association, Iranian Society of Still Photographers, Iran’s Visual Effects Association, and Association of Cinematographers and Assistant Directors expressed condolences on the death of the artist.
