Tehran will hold a congress on archaeological heritage and the rereading of Iranian national identity, and review the Western perspective versus the Iranian perspective on December 6 and 7.

Organized by the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies, the conference will address the background of Orientalism and the beginning of archaeological excavations in Iran, as well as protecting this archaeological heritage.

Archaeological excavations as a new science have transformed Iran and other countries’ historiography.

Cyrus Nasrollahzadeh and Shahin Aryamanesh will be the scientific and executive secretaries of the event, respectively.
