Iranian director Mohammad Qanefard’s documentary “The Last Supper”, which is about the Christian victims of the Syrian civil war, is scheduled to screen at the Iranian Artists Forum (IAF) today.
The documentary chronicles the resistance directed against the terrorists during the war by the Christian minority that lives in Jermana, a district in Syria southeast of Damascus.
Twelve nuns were captured in the district during an attack by the Nusra Front and no one knows their fate.
Qanefard is scheduled to attend a review session, which will be held after the screening of “The Last Supper”.
The documentary received accolades at the 10th Cinema Verite, Iran’s major international festival for documentary cinema.
