Iran’s culture and Islamic guidance minister said that Iran will make films on martyr commanders of Iran.

Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaeili said that the main mission of Farabi Cinema Foundation is to make films on these prominent figures, adding that in the near future there will be films on commanders such as Hossein Hamedani and Mohammad Boroujerdi, IRNA reported.

The minister made the remarks in his meeting with cultural officials of Iran’s western province of Hamedan.

Having offered 36 years of service after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, each part of Hamedani’s life could be turned into a work of art.

Producing cultural music videos on martyrs is of great significance, he said, adding that the ministry is ready to make artworks including music pieces, films, theaters and literary works on martyrs.

People of Hamedan supported soldiers during the Iraqi-imposed war (1980-88), he said, adding that ‘Haj Jalal,’ written by Leila Nazari-Gilandeh, is a great example of such books.

Iranian people’s lives are strongly interwoven with the Islamic culture, the minister said, adding that the ministry has an Iranian-Islamic perspective toward culture.
