The Tehran Symphony Orchestra will host two concerts at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall on July 21 and 22.

The performances will be conducted by renowned composer Hamed Garschi. Mehrdad Gholami will be the flute soloist of the programs.

‘Overture to Gipsy Baron,’ composed by Johann Strauss, ‘Piece for Flute and Orchestra,’ by Hossein Nassehi, and ‘Symphony No. 8 in G major, Op. 88,’ by Antonin Dvorak will be performed.

Garschi was born in Tehran and studied orchestra conducting at the Cologne University of Music in Germany, continued his studies under the supervision of instructors such as Michael Levick, Nicholas Paske, Alexander Rompf, Philipp Mann and Kurt Masur.

He collaborated with many orchestras in Germany, Hungary and Bulgaria.

Garschi was nominated to receive German Conductors’ Prize (DDP) and won fifth place in the Antal Doráti International Conducting Competition in Hungary.

He was the conductor of Klassiske Dage Holstebro in Denmark and Acht Brücken Festivals in Germany.
