Iran’s Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaeili said that children and young adults’ theater requires novel ideas both in content and performance.

The minister sent a message on the occasion of the 27th International Theater Festival for Children and Young Adults.

He added that theater is undoubtedly one of the most eloquent languages of communication in today’s world.

There would be no success in today’s theater except through the integration of psychology with theater and formation of expert-level groups.

The minister appreciated all the people who are involved in holding the festival, adding that the valuable goals of Islamic Iran will be fulfilled by adopting a new approach for the festival.

Five hundred works from domestic and foreign theater groups were submitted, out of which 70 groups got the judges’ nod to participate in the event.

The 27th edition of the festival will be held in Hamedan from June 22 to 27 under the supervision of Amir Mashhadi-Abbas.
