The Iranian film “Leila's Brothers” directed by Saeed Roustayi will be screened at the Munich International Film Festival, after its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

“Leila’s Brothers”, achieving FIPRESCI Prize at the 75th Cannes Film Festival, will be screened at the Munich’s main Cinemasters Competition.

Regarding the plot summary, “At the age of 40, Leila has spent her entire life caring for her parents and four brothers. A family that is constantly arguing and under pressure from various debts in the face of sanctions against Iran. While her brothers are struggling to make ends meet, Leila makes a plan”.

Taraneh Alidoosti, Navid Mohammadzadeh, Saeed Poursamimi, Farhad Aslani, Payman Maadi and Mohammad Ali Mohammadi are among the cast members of the film.

The Munich International Film Festival 2022 will run from June 23 to July 2 in Germany.
