He was previously among the jury members of the International Outdoor Documentary Film Festival of China (OUTDOCS).

Talebi was born in 1982 in Sari, Iran’s northern province of Mazandaran. He studied cinema and is a member of the Iranian Documentary Filmmakers Association.

Among his works are ‘Beloved,’ ‘Last Breaths,’ ‘Paper,’ ‘A Crumpled Delay,’ ‘Iron Dream,’ and ‘Water of the City’.

His latest feature-length documentary is ‘Destiny’ participated in the 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic.

Previously, Iranian films ‘The Descendants’ and ‘Zaferanieh, near Sunset’ were awarded at the Philippines festival.

Pambujan International Film Festival is the first film festival in Eastern Visayas launched in 2009 with its banner 1st Pambujan Pelikula Para sa Publiko (Films for the Public). For its 4th edition in 2012, it metamorphosed into Pambujan Film Festival. It had its hiatus in 2014 for restructuring. Last year for its 7th edition it goes international, giving more variety of films to the public, the festival’s official website wrote.
