Head of Art Bureau at the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization Mohammad-Mehdi Dadman and a number of provincial officials attended the opening ceremony of Mehr Cinema Complex.
The main screening hall is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies such as advanced laser screening systems, Dolby sound and VIP seats, according to the report.
With almost 500 seats for film lovers, the complex is a renovated and expanded version of the former, 80-year-old Quds Cinema in the city of Hamedan.
Hamidreza Haji-Babaei, a Parliament member from the city, said that Hamedan will also launch another cinema complex which will be the biggest of its kind in the province.
In a short film screened in the opening ceremony, filmmaker Amir-Shahab Razavian said that expansion of cultural sites will help develop cultural and social life of a community.
