The show offers a fusion of three different forms of art – painting, music, and calligraphy – according to Dousti, who will have nine abstract drawings on display, IRNA reported.
The exhibition will search for the spirit of Iranian traditional music through painting and calligraphy, said Dousti, adding, “The nine drawings are combined with nine pieces of contemporary Iranian music, sung by the great Mohammadreza Shajarian – rearranged by Mehryad Kiarasi in a rather pop style – in a way that the audience can listen to the music on headphones while looking at the drawings.”
“While looking at each drawing, the audience will listen to the musical piece which inspired me when creating the artwork,” said the artist.
“I’ve also invited Iranian artist Ebrahim Olfat to write the lyrics of the pieces in calligraphy on my drawings during the exhibition,” added Dousti, as she seeks to reach “a common sense between three artists.”
The show will open to spectators from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday) until December 28.
