Vahid Ya’qubi elaborated on programs of the festival and said Persian traditional music and French classical music will be performed at the opening ceremony in Chantilly, north of Paris, IRNA reported.

He noted that six short films will be screened at the noncompetitive section.

Two conferences will also be held within four days of the festival, he added.

He referred to several meetings that will be held in cultural centers with the participation of French experts in Iranian culture and civilization.

Ya’qubi pointed out that there will be workshops of calligraphy and Persian traditional sweets.

The Franco-Iranian Center organized the festival in collaboration with several Iranian arts and cinema centers.

The festival, which is also dedicated to modern figures of Iranian cinema, will be held in two competitive and non-competitive categories.
