His body will be laid to rest in Tehran today, IRNA reported.
Milad Erfanpour, the head of the Music Center of the Art Bureau, was quick to offer his condolences over the passing of the Iranian artist, who “will be always remembered by the enthusiasts of the Iranian classic and folk music.”
“He dedicated more than 25 years of his life to working in the Art Bureau which led to some memorable musical events in the country.”
Hayati embarked on his musical career in the early 90s as a player of daf and tonbak – two Iranian drum instruments – through the instructions of Hassan Azadefar, Mehrdad and Fardin Karim-Khavari, before learning the setar (a stringed instrument) and clarinet skills in the classes of Babak Modarresi and Mohammad Mehrabi.
He studied musical theory with Iranian musicians Ali Montazeri and Amir Eslami.
Hayati was also a jury member at numerous musical festivals, while holding several positions in the Art Bureau and the Cultural Organization of Tehran Municipality over the years.
