Among the submitted films, 1,175 films are from Iran, and 1,980 films will compete from 105 other countries, Mohammad Ebrahim Mohammadi added, according to IRNA.

He noted that the above figures indicate that cineastes from all over the world are highly enthusiastic for participating in the Iranian festival.

The various sections of this year’s Roshd (Growth) festival include International, Teachers, University Student Teachers, and High School Students.

The 51st edition of the festival will be held from December 11 to 18, 2021 in Tehran.

The annual festival is centered on films with educational and pedagogical themes. It seeks the main objectives of identifying and selecting the best educational and pedagogical films in order to introduce them to the educational system.
