The 10th edition of the Italian event dedicates its Meridiani section to movies from Iranian filmmakers. Short films from a single country are reviewed every year in this non-competitive section, which will screen eight films from Iran this year.

In addition, an exhibition is dedicated to Vittorio de Sica, a focus on Iranian cinema, screenings, cinema meetings and masterclasses. These are the main ingredients of this year’s festival.

The 10th edition of the festival, which is slated to be held in person from September 18 to 25, will host 106 short films, from 37 countries.

The festival’s mission is to spread the talent of young emerging directors in the panorama of Italian, European and international cinema, pursuing the aim of merging culture, territory and tourism, with a particular interest for innovations in the field of cinema, also supported by new technological languages, the event’s official website wrote.
