Helli was hospitalized in Kashan’s Shahid Beheshti Hospital, in Iran’s central province of Isfahan, due to the coronavirus and the aggravation of his kidney disease.

The Iranian music artist was born in 1952 in Kashan, a city in Isfahan Province, and learned music and singing with Mohammad Qara-Maleki, IRNA wrote.

He completed his musical knowledge with Saleh Azimi and then was invited to perform on the radio.

Helli started his cooperation with radio and television in 1982, and worked there for nine years. Since then, he returned to Kashan and held singing courses and thus made a significant contribution to singing training in Kashan.

Iran’s Music Office director Mohammad Allahyari sent a message of condolence for the loss of the great cultural figure.

In addition, a number of Iranian vocalists including Mohammad Mo’tamedi, Changiz Habibian and Ali-Asghar Esmaeili expressed their condolences over the death of the vocalist.
