The festival was held totally online from December 15 to 22 in Tehran.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, one of the plans of the Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC) in the new Iranian year (started March 21, 2021) is to launch online programs and produce content on social media, ifilmtv.com reported.
DEFC organizes the festival every year which showcases the very best of the documentary world.
The festival has several sections including the National, International, and Martyr Avini Prize, Entrepreneurship Documentary Competition, Coronavirus Special Section, and commemorations.
