Iran’s Cultural Attaché in Islamabad Ehsan Khazaei, and Director General of Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) Fouzia Saeed, met and discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the fields of art and culture, Mehr News Agency reported Friday. 

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the significance of promoting bilateral cultural ties. 

Khazaei emphasized the need to utilize the existing capacities of Iran and Pakistan in the field of culture and art.

For her part, the head of PNCA referred to the deep ties between Tehran and Islamabad.

“Iran and Pakistan are two neighboring and Muslim countries, and we have deep cultural, artistic and historical relations with the Islamic Republic.”

Saeed also expressed the willingness of the PNCA, which is affiliated to the National Heritage and Cultural Division of the government of Pakistan, to expand mutual cooperation with the office of Iran’s cultural attaché and to hold any joint events such as cultural and artistic exhibitions.
