The entrants can submit their requests to the festival until January 4, 2021, and the films should not have been screened before February 2021.

Previously, Mohammad-Mehdi Tabatabaei-Nejad, the secretary of the 39th edition of the event, told the media that the festival may be held in the spring of 2021.

He noted, “No definite decision has been made so far, but we will try our best to launch it on time. However, there’s the possibility of launching the festival a few months later, concurrent with the international version of the event.”

The FFF coincides with the ceremonies marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Since its establishment in 1982, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran every year.
