The event was held under health protocols.From the southeastern Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchestan, Bahrami stood in second place for presenting a work on peace, which was the theme of the festival.
Through a video message to the festival, Bahrami talked of 1,300-year cultural and historical relations between Iran and Japan and said the two countries enjoyed ties under mutual respect.
She hoped that she had played at least a minimal role in fostering Tehran-Tokyo ties.
She added, “I am happy that my artwork entitled, ‘Peace Within,’ indicating peace and friendship throughout the world grabbed the attention of the jury members.”
The Japanese event hosted 400 artworks from 33 countries.
The highest number of participants in this edition of the festival came from Iran, with more than 200 artworks.
Also, three other works by Iranian artists were hailed in the international cup.
In 2018, six Iranian works gained awards from Paralym Art World Cup.
Akiko Endo, Keiichiro Tao, and Nobumasa Kushino evaluated the submitted artworks.
According to en.paralymartwc.com, the World Cup is an event to show the talent of many disabled artists from around the world.
“This year was supposed to be the year of the Olympics and Paralympics; however, they were postponed due to the coronavirus. But the Paralym Art World Cup 2020 has not been postponed. We are looking for art that uses the theme of peace to brighten up a world that has been overshadowed by darkness.”
